Jam Camp ups and downs. Gig Harbor, WA.

Does one dare to criticize the king? Will his knights ride out with lances sharpened and blood in thir eye? " I doth take the risk my lord for I hope to enlighten thee not take thy effort in vain".
Well, I went to camp and left early because I was disappointed and was losing the battle with the flu bug. The good parts first. Jon starting each class sessions with his guitar calling us to join in and jam. At the first session with the band Jon was jumping up and down in pure excitement and joy as we did our first rounds. Some of the classes where the teacher taught the announced topic. My one on one. The other campers who were trying hard to learn.
The not so good part. As one return camper said,"Organization is not Jon's strong suit". I agree. There was an attempt to be organized but topics advertised to be taught were not. Teachers confusion with what they were supposed to teach. Jon trying to teach the 12 bar blues and his teacher interrupting (trying to help?) with the class sitting in dumb silence. That guy was constantly butting in.
OK so it had it's good side and it's bad side. So why complain? Well I'm disappointed. For $649 in tuition, hotel, food and travel costs this was an expensive weekend. I expected more of a professionally organized and well run camp. The gig at Gig Harbor didn't make it.
