Punched "Amazing slow downer" into the search field and came up with a bunch of sites that will allow you to download the trial version. The one I have will allow the first two minutes of the song to be played, but thats plenty of time to get the intro of Chicago Sunset. Hope this helps.http://www.ronimusic.com/

I listened to it about 50 times at regular speed. I don't know what he is doing. I respectfully submit, that he doesn't know. I' ll bet its one of those almost unconcious moves that great harp players "throw in" while their mind is on the next part of the song.
I have a digital voice recorder but I dont know if it will do all the trick stuff that Dutch is talking about. I'll have to get the book out. The slow Downer is a good one. I used it on a trial offer to transcribe "Sweet home Chicago" Then it timed out. Think I will buy the full version. Keep at it Zardoz, you'll get it.
Thanks Dutch. I have been using Audacity and slowing it down and then using Bendometer to determine the note key. For some reason I am just not able to get it. Slowing down the tempo on Audacity doesn't seem to work all that well.
I'm assuming you are using a Windows machine (I'm using a Mac) but you should be able to slow down with your computer. There are also several softwares out there that allow you to slow down songs without changing the pitch (key). One of them is called "Amazing Slow Downer if I'm not mistaking. I personally use a Tascam "voice trainer", a small cd type piece of hardware (not expensive) that allows you to slow down, change pitch, add effects, add a mic and connect to your computer, stereo or to an amp etc .....you can actually select 2 sec from a cd, slow it down and let it loop (repeat) as long as you like.... great to nail down those difficult riffs..
Hope this helps

Thanks Michael, he is playing a C harp in second position so the song is in G. I am thinking he is starting on a 3D" coming up to a 3D then he goes somewhere else. Way too fast for me to pick this up at this stage of my harp career.
