RE: Georgia on my mind

I'm working on a version that starts on the 3 draw and also involves a lot of bending.. I'll be up loading it to youtube when I'm done (when it's good enough to show people)

Working on "Georgia". Found some straight harp tab for the song and learned one version that sounds OK. But once you have heard Ray Charles sing the song, a straight harp version does not do it justice.

As it turns out, Big Jon Gindick has tabed out and playes a rather beautiful arrangment of the song. I'll put up the link for anyone thats interested. Well done and worth a listen even if you are not learning the song.

He has two versions. The song changes keys, so one version uses two harps.
and the second one uses one harp and playes in two positions. It's not for the faint of heart. It has some full step bends on the low end that have to be nailed and held.
It's one thing to scoop down for a quarter note. And another to pop it down and hold it. This may take me a while.

Thank you Jon for putting the work into this song that it deserves. http://www.gindick.com/bending_tone.asp
