RE: Country RI Blues?

I have been leaning pretty heavily on my faith in God.
I have Jon' CD Gospel plow.
If anyone out there has tab for 2nd position Gospel songs, that would mean a lot to me right now.

Country or Blues?

thanks dutch,

Met some great musicians last night. they have a web site with some samples of their music. It's worth the effort to check it out.

myspace.com/confederatesoul

The lead singer and the bass player were there, I talked music with them before I heard them play.
They took the stage and did a couple of songs. Then E.L. (singer) waved me up and asked me to sit in with them. I respectfully declined. But was honored that I was invited. Still am.

It has been my experience that there is a pattern that I follow before I perform.
An hour or so before I take the stage nervous energy starts to ratchet up. I don't actually get sick at my stomach but the thought of food is out of the question.
My gut tightens up like I would tighten it if I were about to get punched. This increases until I take the stage and draw the first note. Then about 95% if it goes away. I guess it's different for everyone. Thats the pattern that I have come to expect and accept, for me.
It does seem to get easier the more I do it. Same pattern, easier each time.

I'm rambling on about music because it's part of my therapy.

Since I fell for you came off well. As Jon once said it was "blues from the bowels"

Hi micheal, looks like you're on the right track with your playing..... hope you still had a fun evening ... Tough thing about the wife... some things in life just really suck... at least you still have a daughter a house and a bunch of harps to play your blues away.... consider yourself lucky, some people are left with nothing after a break up....
Hang in there and take good care of your that daughter of you, I'm sure she is also seriously affected by this...

I did it.
I can't think of another style of music that expresses what I'm feeling.
In a way, I did'nt actually "play" the song. It just kind of came out.

About 5-6 days ago my wife told me she was leaving me...................I got our Daughter and the house.

This morning I had to put our family dog down. She had been a great dog, had her for 15 years.

Tonight Im going to an open mic at a local coffee shop. Starts in two hours.

Given the events of the last few days and trying to keep a sense of humor, I dont know if I should go with a Country and Western song or Blues.

OK, thats not really funny. I'm doing the best I can.
My song selection is going to be a song I learned from the video harp club. It's called "since I fell for you" I loved it from the moment I first heard it. Jon does a great job of walking you through it, as always. I know I can put the emotion in it deserves.

Wish me luck, or a broken leg or something.
