RE: swan chromatics

Buy cheap, get cheap. Yes, that's been my experience with diatonic harps. I don't want to be primarily a chromatic player. I love the diatonic harmonica. To me, bending the reeds to get the missing notes is the essence of blues harmonica. I was just thinking that adding 2 or 3 songs played with a chromatic to my repertoire would be nice. Maybe I should wait and buy a high dollor Suzuki or Hohner chromatic or give up on the idea altogether. Thanks Zardoz for the reply.

No clue but my motto is buy cheap and get cheap.

BWH plays Skip It on a chromatic in the key of C. I am trying to decifer it on a diatonic in the key of C. I might have to learn overblows to do it.

Complicated little instrument isn't it?

I'm thinking of experimenting with a chromatic harmonica to play some Little Walter 3rd position type stuff. I've never owned a chromatic harp before and I don't want to spend $200+ to find out that the chromatic is not for me. I've seen some Swan chromatics online from $25-$50. Does anybody on the forum owm a Swan chromatic? If so, are they playable and airtight as opposed to leaky? Thanks.
