Well I have read an artilce that went into detail about using some kind of medical tape, to do just that. I can't remember what that stuff is called though. At any rate I don't think it's needed now :)
I like the two Lee Oskars I have...One is close to 10 years old and I pulled it out this weekend (hadn't played it in 6 years, due to getting Braces) and it was still great.
I seem to remember "IronMan" Mike Curtis posting on Harp-L years ago about how to make them more air tight, I looked for my file on it but couldn't find it. You may have inadvertantly tightened yours up.
I think Mike used to put some kind of adhesive bandage or something under the covers. I can't remember exactly though. Ronnie
Hey guys... Sorry to start an old thread all over again, but I feel I must say this... If you remember my last thread where I had stated, that I disliked my Lee Osker, do to the major air leakage problem that I had going on. Well I left it alone, and decided to pick up a Golden Melody, to go along with my SP20 here at my local dealer. Both of these harps are nice, and I wouldn't hesistate to purchase another. However, I got alittle bored the other day, and decided I would take apart my L.O....you know...just to have a look. Upon inspection, I didn't notice anything out of the norm. So I put her back together, not expecting anything. Boy was I wrong...bigtime! This thing sounds like a CHAMP! I love it! Bending is very easy, tonal quility to my ears sounds just as good as my SP20. Man...I'm in love...did I say that yet ;)
Well in anycase, I just wanted to correct myself, just in case somebody happens to come across that little thread of mine, and gets put off from it to purchase a Lee Osker. Lee Osker= 2 thumbs up :)
