Funny thing is, the link that you copy and pasted from http://www.bushmanmusic.com/forums - well, I was actually the original person who started that thread on that forum!
Us harmonica people must visit a lot of the same tin sandwich sites?!
But hey, if you or anyone else figure out this little lick....please feel free and Reply!
Haha Taylor Hicks has caught another one in his web 8-)
my request is how to play the solo that he does in taking care of business in the final
There was a thread about this thing (the chair riff) on the http://www.bushmanmusic.com/forums, I have the link but at this moment I can't get the link to work, perhaps there is some trouble at site right now, but anyway here ya go 8-)
It's The Giff. I'm in seek of a little bit of help/good advice on how to exactly play the quick "Taylor Hicks riff" in the video below. I know that he's playing an E harp in 2nd position and that it sounds like he's doing a fairly simple 4/5 draw, slid to a 3 draw and then back up to a 4 blow?
But for some reason when I try the short riff, it just doesn't quite sound the same as ol' Taylor's? I mean, is he doing some special tongue articulation or blowing/drawing another note in there that I may be missin'?
I'd really love to get this little lick down because it does create a heckuva lot of tension before it finally resolves itself - and plus....it sounds AWESOME!
As always though, I'd really appreciate any help or benefecial tips that you good folks may be able to lend me on this.
