I tried to reproduce it starting slowly and then increasing in speed, but even going as fast as I can it takes me about 1 or 2 seconds to do all three notes.
I'm sure it's a matter of knowing some trick or technique.
I agree, he's playing a triplet. If you're not familiar with triplets it means playing 3 notes in the space of two beats. For our purposes lets just say 3 quick notes in sucession, and usually played as a repeating sequence like the guy in the video. Here are a few good ones...
-4 4 -3
4 -4 -3
-4' -4 -5
6 -5 -4
Practice playing them clean and slowly speeding up.
ok well starting at 1:13 in the first i noticed was (anybody please correct this if i am wrong). he was playing triplets ..an example tabbed out for you would be 4d 5d 5b..then start back with the 4d 5d 5b again .. then a few seconds later he was doing a vibrato with his throat or diaphram plus a hand vibrato together.. and carry it up to about 1:21 or so he ran up the harp alittle with some octaves...an example of this would be playing 1-4d and blocking out the two middle holes with your tongue.. those are some of the techniques i heard but i am sure there was a few more in there as Ronnie Shellist is an accomplised player. its really hard to figue out exactly what technigues are being used when some one is playing because alot of other things come into it like tone , bent notes , use of the tongue etc... again if i am way off base here some one please correct.
