I started off with Lee Oskar major diatonic. Then I decided to try the Hohner Special 20, after a while playing both I find now I'd rather play the Special 20 because the holes are slightly tighter than the Lee Oskar.........I haven't tried any other makes. Any suggestions for the Blues?
10-4 Paul - I know exactly what you mean. The funny thing is, regarding Fords & Chevys and their parts being made over seas....I drive a '99 Toyota Tacoma and THAT was probably made in the U.S. of A? Go figure??
Yea i know what you mean by the fishy part, but many busineses work that way. It use to be that when you bought a ford or chevy,it was all american made ,not any more. Buy other items ,tag says made in Usa, look close and another tag says made in china , mex. etc.
Cool - thanks Paul. I find that kind of funny how both the Delta Frosts & the Bluesmasters each have interchangeable reed plates that work with oneanother? Being that's the case, I'm going to go ahead and order a Bluesmaster tomorrow and see how I like it.
Final thought: There's something very fishy going on in these harmonica factories...
I also play and love the Delta Frosts, but for practice and play in the car type harps I usually use the less expensive Suzuki bluesmasters and Suzuki Harpmasters. The Harpmaster is basically the same harp as the Delta Frost without the bronze phospher reeds. It doesnt have the tone that the Delta Frost has but has the same feel and plays and bends real well and I use them for more casual play and save my Delta Frosts for more serious jamming and playing.
Just kind of curious what everyone's "preferred" brand of harp to play is? As for The Giff, I'm currently playing Bushman Delta Frosts and absolutely love 'em.
However, there is a small part of me that wants to try out a Suzuki Bluesmaster - just to see how they feel? Anyone currently play Bluesmaster's or had the opportunity to wail on any? Just was wondering if they're as nice as the * * * * * reviews say they are?
One thing that is kind of a bummer with them, is that I don't show them having replacement reed plates available in case of a bad blow out? Are there in fact any other Suzuki reed plates from other models (Harpmaster, Promaster, etc.) that are interchangeable with the Bluesmaster?
