I have decided to let the purchaser decide what package to get me. I presented the following options.
1) Rock n' Blues Book & CD $24.95 2) Rock n' Blues Book/CD plus Bending & Tone Workshop $49.95 3) Rock n' Blues Book/CD, plus volumes II, III, Bending Lesson, Chugging Lesson $99.95
I'll be happy with any one of these but 3 would be awesome!
To make your decision easier, I would say you CAN'T go wrong no matter what you choose. The next thing to consider is your playing level. If R&B is going to be sort of a challenge, I'd go with that (R@B) and the chugging lesson. If you level is a little higher, the bending lesson should help, but that being said, I would recommend your "B" package. First it's 10 bucks more and it is Christmas. but that package has everything in it and it WILL keep your interest up. The backing tracks are great, there are some easy riffs and some difficult riffs and there is a 1st position scale in there that will help you learn to hear your bend. If your into the harp at all and you like Jon's way of teaching you'll end up with it all anyway. I speak from experience, I have most of his material.
I am considering some of Jon's books as something that I want to ask for for Christmas.
I was looking at "Rock n' Blues Harmonica" and "Bending & Tone Work Shop."
I have two questions:
1) On the sales page of "Rock n' Blues Harmonica" it mentions that bending is included as a lesson. If so, is it necessary to purchase "Bending & Tone Work Shop?"
2) Which of these two packages would you recommend more?
A) Rock n' Blues Book/CD plus Bending & Tone Workshop $49.95 B) Rock' Blues book, CD plus Volumes II, III $59.95
Here is what I really would like to get but can't afford it yet:
Rock n' Blues Book/CD, plus volumes II, III, Bending Lesson, Chugging Lesson $99.95
