RE: Question about Keys

That was something that I was wondering also. I got a C Harp (as a gag gift) for Xmas. At first I didn't care for it; but I'm loving it now!

vbmark,

Here is the order of standard harp keys from lowest to highest. I'm only listing the most common keys, you can fill in others.

G, A, Bb, C, D, F

But you can also get special harps like a low D which is a D which is pitched below the G, or a high G which is pitched above the F. Hohner SP20's come in these options.

I would imagine the C harp in higher in key than the A, Harp keys go from G to F Sharp, G being the lowest Key and F sharp the highest

Hello,

Ok, a possibly stupid question.

My present harmonica is in the key of A. If I get one in the key of C will the notes be higher or lower?

Thanks!
Mark
