RE: QUESTION for Jon

why can't i bend . i use the curled tongue tech . 20 yrs. ago i started this tech .playing melodies.i know many riffs.with out bends.i think at times i get overdraws .enough to sound bluey. but have yet to get a good bend.i can play octaves by putting my tongue in behind my upper teeth, and a few other techeques.i have most of your stuff.which has been a great help.your books have help me learn a lot to where i able to figure out most songs myself. knowing how the strutrue of a song has help to make my on songs sound good.so i guess i will keep trying to bend until it comes to me.having said all that i guess i lazy in a way .because i haven't learnt a new tech. on how to draw on my harp.thank you so much for your reply.your one fine teacher.

I tend to think Cross Harp and convert out of that. The MM would not work on that song bwithout bending because you need to bend the 2d** -- I think--didn't try it with an MM
but as far as I can figure, I'm right.

Why can't you bend?

Jon i have a question about a song im learning(Just a closer walk with thee)im learning this tune in 1 pos. .the song is in e flat .this song has a New Orleans feel to it.,i was wondering what other pos. i could use other than cross harp . i have all the Lee Oskars Melody Makers and i was wondering if i could use one of these. i still can't bend notes. this may a wild idea . i dont know if you have had any dealings with the melody makers.thank you ahead any help and i would be grateful Tom B
